What is a disc water filter

The disc filter is a water filter that intercepts impurities by pressing the filters with grooves on both sides to form tiny pores. The inner disc is made of reinforced nylon, which is wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant, and has a long service life. When the filter has been used for a long time, it is only necessary to replace the filter disc, which can ensure excellent filtering effect and low operating cost. When the disc water filter is backwashed, the gap between the filter discs becomes larger, and the centrifugal force generated by the rotation of the disc under the hydraulic drive will throw out the impurities. 1. Filtration state: multiple filters are tightly stacked together under the action of the top spring pressure and hydraulic force. Water enters the filter from the inlet, and flows into the inner ring through the gap between the two disc units in the outer ring. Intercepted by the groove pores between two adjacent filters, clean water flows out through the water outlet.
2. Backwashing state: When backwashing starts, the system automatically controls the valve to change the direction of water flow. The original water inlet becomes a sewage outlet, and the water outlet becomes a backwashing water inlet. Under the action of water pressure, the spring is jacked up, and the filter gap becomes larger without the pressure of the spring. At the same time, due to the tangential water spray from the central nozzle, the filter starts to rotate at a high speed. Due to the influence of centrifugal force, the impurities trapped in the pores of the filter groove are thrown out and discharged from the system together with the water.
The disc water filter is composed of more than two filter units, so the equipment can backwash a single filter unit while the other filter units are working normally. Therefore, when a filter unit is in the backwash state, The water supply will not be interrupted.

What preparations are required before the disc water filter is commissioned?

1. A bypass valve needs to be installed before filtration. Please open the bypass valve for initial operation. After emptying the foreign matter accumulated in the pipeline system during the construction process, switch to the filtration system to protect the filter from running normally. (Otherwise, the system may not work properly)
2. Check whether the connection of the inlet and outlet pipes is correct;
3. Check whether the connection of the backwash sewage pipe is correct, and ensure the direct drainage of the trench;
4. Check whether the controller and signal pipeline are installed correctly;
5. Check whether the power supply of the controller is correct (220V/50Hz);
6. Check whether the differential pressure switch of inlet and outlet water is connected correctly.

How disc water filters start to work

1. Close the water outlet valve, open the water inlet valve, and confirm that the water inlet pressure is not lower than 0.25Mpa to ensure sufficient backwash water pressure;
2. Force the system to backwash until the water is clear. Forced backwashing can be realized from the controller command or manual control of the solenoid valve or distributor. The manual control method is: rotate the screw on the solenoid valve 1/4 turn, and backwash for at least 20 seconds;
3. Slowly open the water outlet valve to confirm that the water outlet pressure is not lower than 0.15Mpa.
